Roman inscription found in Bulgaria decoded to reveal a bribe paid to emperor Septimius Severus (

The newly decoded stone inscription contains the text of an imperial letter in which Roman Emperor Septimius Severus introduced himself to residents of the huge Roman city of Nicopolis ad Istrum, while also expressing gratitude for a large-scale bribe he received.
