Pilgrim’s silver cross found in River Wear (

Given the Christian imagery depicted on the cross and its find location close to Durham Cathedral, it is probable that it was worn by a pilgrim or offered for sale to a pilgrim visiting the nearby shrine of St Cuthbert.
