A metal detectorist in Cork discovered a hoard of ancient Russian coins made from silver and gold that were stamped in extremely limited number to pay merchants and mercenaries.

    • Ukraine is not the successor of anything. It’s not historically an actual country.
      It was historically a territory between Russia and Poland
      Russia is the successor of Kievan Rus’, the Rus’ monarchs relocated there and the Kiev Metropolitan relocated to Vladimir-Suzdal when the pagan Lithuanians took Kiev
